The Story Session

This family wanted to document the beauty of their property before beginning to build a cabin. We talked about what was important to them about this property, how they enjoyed it, and what they wanted captured. We decided to do the first half of the session in the open valley with sweeping views, colorful trees, and a gorgeous creek that they love to play in so that we could capture some great portraits with the fields as well as the fall trees, but also document them being playful doing things with their children. The second half of the session we went into the trees where they plan to build, got a bit more casual, and showed more of how they typically enjoy adventuring on their land. I love how these sessions allow us to explore so much, play, be real, get some timeless portraits, as well as some candid moments and details.
